Jesse Cordtz's Bio:

Jesse Cordtz is 3D animation artist and filmmaker. Recently Cordtz re-entered the commercial production market after spending 7 years teaching at a non-profit. Prior to that from 2008 to 2016, Cordtz owned, Hiero Entertainment, a script to screen video production and dedicated 3D animation and visual effects team. Hiero can catered to companies and individuals needing 3d animation, video production, web and game design. We also provide motion capture and projection mapping content.  Cordtz is well-known for his advanced 3-D animation skills, which facilitated his progression to becoming an Adjunct Professor teaching 3-D animation in the Communications Department at Boise State University. He started teaching these upper division courses directly after graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree in May of 2005. While at Boise State University, Cordtz gained recognition as film club president for two years and his involvement in University Television Productions. He was known for designing and constructing a 25 foot robotic camera crane (jib) for the school. He also placed among the top five in the national Film Your Issue competition, with the film entitled Media Accountability and received many special awards for various competitions. In 2006, Cordtz premiered a feature length independent film entitled Tangerine and Lolly. It is a story of two young sisters learning about life. It premiered at a local theatre in Boise, Idaho. Tangerine and Lolly was directed by Jesse Cordtz and Dave Turner. It was edited by Cordtz. This film is the first feature length children’s narrative movie produced entirely in Boise. Cordtz also premiered another feature length independent film in 2006 entitled Dalai Lama Children’s Day Event Documentary. It is a documentary involving the Dalai Lama’s visit to Idaho in September 2005. Cordtz organized the production, managed the broadcast crew and directed the film. This film examines the Dalai Lama’s message to Idaho’s youth and the views of compassion through the eyes of several children. Cordtz spent seven seasons as the leading producer, director and editor of a children’s weekly educational series, Bits and Pieces. This series has aired on KNIN, Channel 9 and TVCTV, Channel 11. He has also instructed children in film acting classes. Recently, Cordtz traveled to Boston along with Chris Ervin, to work as a visual effects supervisor on the feature film, The Forger. He had the opportunity to work along side John Travolta, Christopher Plummer, Abigail Spencer and John Bailey ASC.  Currently, Cordtz is seeking production work in the post environment as a video editor/ motion designer / 3d artist .
